Technical Sidebar Segment Format and Use
Dr. Volt Technical Sidebar segments are short, focused video explanations designed to clarify practical engineering concepts, test-equipment behavior, battery-testing assumptions, and related technical topics.
These segments are intentionally produced so they may be used as complete educational inserts within other videos, presentations, webinars, training materials, or internal technical discussions.
Unless otherwise stated, Dr. Volt Technical Sidebar segments may be embedded into other video content in complete form, provided that:
- The Technical Sidebar segment is used in full.
- The spoken explanation is not edited, cut, re-voiced, translated, or altered.
- The visual content, branding, labels, and attribution remain intact.
- The segment is not presented in a way that implies Dr. Volt endorses a specific product, company, test result, procedure, or technical conclusion.
- The segment is not used in a misleading, unsafe, or technically deceptive context.
Technical Sidebar Format
Dr. Volt Technical Sidebar segments are generally produced with a silent lead-in frame before the spoken content begins and a silent lead-out frame after all spoken words have completed.
These lead-in and lead-out frames are typically about five seconds each.
This format is intentional. It allows the segment to be placed cleanly into other produced content while preserving the complete technical explanation.
When embedding a Technical Sidebar segment into another video, you may trim the silent lead-in and/or silent lead-out portions as needed so the segment fits naturally within your production.
Only the silent lead-in and silent lead-out portions may be trimmed. The spoken content, technical explanation, visual sequence, branding, and attribution must remain complete and unmodified.
Uses That Require Written Permission
Please contact Dr. Volt before using publicly published Dr. Volt video content in any of the following ways:
- Reposting or re-hosting Dr. Volt video files outside of the official publishing platform.
- Editing, cutting, remixing, translating, dubbing, re-voicing, or otherwise modifying the spoken or visual content.
- Using only selected excerpts from the spoken portion of a Technical Sidebar segment.
- Removing or obscuring Dr. Volt branding, captions, labels, copyright notices, or attribution.
- Using screenshots, diagrams, animations, or other visual elements as standalone graphics.
- Including Dr. Volt video content in paid training materials, commercial courses, subscription content, or sales materials where the Dr. Volt content itself is part of the paid offering.
- Using Dr. Volt video content in product promotions, marketing campaigns, or vendor comparisons.
- Using Dr. Volt video content in a way that suggests endorsement, certification, approval, or validation by Dr. Volt.
